The Fox Chase Cancer Center was formed in 1974 by the merger of the American Oncologic Hospital and the Institute for Cancer Research and is the fourth largest hospital devoted exclusively to cancer in the United States. Dr. Robert C. Young is the President. Fox Chase Cancer Center's activities include basic and clinical research; prevention,detection and treatment of cancer; and community outreach programs.
